Dragon's TearIn development
You run the tavern at the top of the stairs, hire the drinkers, kit them out, write the tactics they will fight by, and send them down after a dragon.
A song has gone round about the dragon at the bottom of the dig and the tear it weeps. It keeps bringing people to the door, and you are the only one left in town who has walked those stairs and come back up. So you take them in and send them down instead of going yourself.
The corner table
Three go down at a time, and you pick who stands in front. A hero in the back row swings at half strength unless their weapon is built to reach over the line.
The papers
Every hero has fifteen skills to spend points on, and some branches lock the others out, so a barbarian built around Cleave gives up Execute for good.
The orders
You write each hero a priority list. War Cry when the doctrine calls for it, Cleave when two or more are standing, and a plain swing at the nearest thing when nothing higher up applies.
The kit
A heavy weapon hits standing plate for one and a half of its damage, and a staff skips armour to land on magic defence instead. Classes are fussy about what they will hold, and the shop refuses the rest.
Then you open the door
It plays itself from there, at any of five speeds, and the log on the right says what happened. You cannot steer it once the door shuts.
What comes back up
Every floor has a quarry and a copse, three swings each. What they cut goes back into the inn, a room at a time. Build the loft over the hall and a fourth hero can sleep there, the toolshed regrows the timber overnight, and the strongbox keeps 90 percent of your purse when a party dies down there.
The red banner
Every so often the log gives something a name and hangs it in a red banner across the corridor. The dragon in the song is the one at the bottom.
Where it stands
In development, and there is no store page yet, so no date and no wishlist button either. The shots above come off a build from September 2026.
