Watch the chronicle play itself

Lowmoor is a zero-player idle RPG in the spirit of Progress Quest. Choose one of 12 folk, 12 trades and 12 origins, sign the Roll, and your adventurer takes the road. They hunt, gain rank, cast spells or use martial knacks, sell trophies, wear better equipment and descend without a click from you. The numbers go up whether you watch or not.

Keep the full chronicle open, fold it to a strip in the corner, or close it. The Guild accounts for up to four hours away at first, and the Night Clerk can extend the account to twenty-four.

Want the reins instead? The play style switch in Options hands any of the five auto systems to you (Auto, Manual, or a Custom mix), and a fresh chronicle can begin in Manual. It stays a true idle game either way.

A running chronicle takes a hunt, a working and a piece of gear without waiting for input.

Build a hero your way

The enrolment is 12 folk times 12 trades times 12 origins, with recut gifts that open real builds rather than garnish. Every trade carries a signature ability that grows with kills on its own talent tree, resettable for gold. Thirteen feats ride upon your papers, three pets can be adopted and raised, and 21 hirelings climb rank ladders from the eleventh rung to the hundred-and-eleventh. Spend it all yourself or let the Guild's autos spend it for you.

Shape a Long Charter of 2,110 skills

Every rank and capstone earns skill points. Take the pen and plan a road through eight quarters, close rings around 160 major skills, choose one of eight oaths and set eight masteries. Leave the pen upon the counter and the Guild's surveyor spends the points for you, so the adventure never waits.

The Long Charter fits 2,110 skills across eight quarters of the Guild wall.

Keep it beside your work

Choose Fold to enter Companion Mode. The PC build becomes a narrow always-on-top strip in a screen corner, made for the second monitor. It keeps the adventurer's plate, current work, gold, HP, MP, descent and the last log line in view while the chronicle keeps running. The foe's plate joins it while a fight is under way. Unfold restores the full chronicle.

Fill the Guild's books

The bestiary holds 179 illustrated beasts, each with lore and a practical Guild note earned by mastery. The Roll holds 100 achievements. The Book of Hands records 21 hirelings, while the Trophy Case keeps 56 shelves of treasures and a boss wall of 40 names across both adventures.

The bestiary records 179 beasts, each with a hand-inked plate, lore and a Guild note.

Open a sealed letter when you wish

Dispatches bring optional choices to the running chronicle. The first answer is always safe and needs no ability check, while later answers may call for a d20. Leave a letter unanswered and the adventure keeps moving.

Sealed letters offer a safe answer and optional ones resolved on the d20.

Build power without inventory chores

Your kit has four named slots (armour, main hand, off hand, accessory) and improves automatically, with six rarity bands, 20 material tiers, item bonuses, pair bonuses, sets and tens of thousands of combinations. Set a standing order when you want control. Thirty-two spells and 19 martial knacks across eight schools fire on their own.

Finish two complete adventures

Descend the 30-floor Maw through five arcs, then enter the Mourning Vale, a six-chapter module charted at about 400 hours to the hall. Both adventures continue in post-module seasons, whose framing reflects the ending you chose. Prestige, achievements, beast mastery, hireling records, the Trophy Case and the Guildhouse works carry across every chronicle.

The module shelf holds the 30-floor Maw and the six-chapter Mourning Vale.

Pick the desk it stands upon

The chronicle keeps a period desktop, and you choose which one: Windows 98, GNOME 1 or Mac OS 8, each with a day face and a lamplight one. The Windows build is out now, and macOS and Linux builds are on the way.
